NEVIS TRAILBLAZER’S SNOWMOBILE MEETING December, 6 2014
Meeting call to order at 7:09pm by President Bill Bennett with 21 members present
-Secretary’s Report:
Report was emailed out for members to review
Joel Hailey made a motion to approve the minutes, Kent Schulte 2nd – passed
Treasurer’s Report:
Motion by Sandy Drury to approve the treasure’s report 2nd by Tom Ritter – passed
Correspondence:
-President Bennett thanked the members for the card for the recent loss of his father
Committees:
Trail: -Karl Dierkhising reported he attended the Region 1 meeting and gave a summary of the meeting
-Gates have been opened for the year
-Heartland Trail clearing work was done by the DNR and ready to be used as a snowmobile trail
-Worked a total of 104 hours with 14 people volunteering for trail clearing this year
-New Groomer has been gone over and is all ready to go
-The Brush Mower and Club Car are in the Shed and all ready to go for next year
Memberships :
-Talk of another trailside lunch maybe do it the same time as the USXC Cross Country Race and move it up to the city park along the race route for more visibility.
-Discussion of making up note cards or contact cards with membership information in attempt to gain interest in joining the club. Decided to make up some on the computer to hand out.
Club rides:
– No Snow nothing to talk about
Safety class:
– The snowmobile safety class is scheduled for Dec. 13 if there is snow.
Old Business :
-Pres. Bennett has had meetings pertaining to putting together the trail map for the clubs area. Map is being constructed and due to the complexity we are on track for it to be released next year. Hope to have a rough draft out by next meeting
-The decals are on the groomer and look great
-Still on track for the local USXC race and the I-500 race in February to assist as a club for anything that they may need.
-Got approval to use the Heartland Alternate Trail for the local USXC Cross County Race. Will be working with the race committee on determining the exact race course.
-Will be updating website now with new info as it comes in.
New business –
-MN USA Calendars are available
